Description of Legal & Non-Legal Career:
Minot has worked with Moriarity, Badaruddin & Booke since August of 2007 supporting multiple facets of the firm’s robust litigation practice. Cases he has been involved with range from personal injury and wrongful death to breach of contract and corporate mis-governance. Notably, he presented an oral argument in front of Utah’s Supreme Court seeking the recognition of the previously unacknowledged tort of spoliation. In addition to his litigation work with the firm, Minot has assisted the Missoula Public Defender’s Office by representing economically disadvantaged citizens facing an array charges. He also represents a handful of fledgling Missoula entrepreneurial businesses due to his passion for startup business as noted below.
During law school Minot worked for Bennett Law, P.C., a firm that specializes in incorporations and state sales and use tax issues. Minot also interned at St. Peter, Warren, & Dyrud where he worked on transactional law, land use matters, and pension related issues.
Minot also holds an MBA from the University of Montana. This reflects his prior small business experience before entering the legal field. During the internet “boom” Minot worked for two dot.com startups, iPolitics.com and DemoRoom.com, serving in sales and marketing positions. Prior to the advent of the internet, Minot oversaw the management of a division of GreenDisk, Inc., a startup company that recycled unsold waste software products and their packaging.

For a number of years following college Minot was a Professional Member of the American Mountain Guides Association working for guiding operations in Alaska, Washington, Colorado, and British Columbia.
