Tina Sunderland, Paralegal for Moriarity, Badarrudin & Booke

University of Montana – COT (1995 with High Honors) – Paralegal Studies

Legal Career:
Tina has over fifteen years of experience as a litigation paralegal. During this time she has acquired a broad spectrum of knowledge in complex litigation, including medical malpractice, personal injury, products liability and insurance litigation. She also has extensive trial experience.

Technology has become somewhat of an obsession for Tina. She is one of two certified trainers in Trial Director in Montana. She has developed extensive processes and procedures and consulted with numerous law firms in converting from a paper-based firm to paper-less firm. She enjoys researching and implementing new technology. As Co-Chair of the Technology Committee of the State Bar of Montana she has twice attended the ABA Tech Show in Chicago.

She has been very active in many organizations and has been a frequent guest speaker. She served eight years on the Executive Board for the State Bar of Montana Paralegal Section, with 4 years serving as Chair. She is currently serving her third term as Co-Chair of the State Bar of Montana Technology Committee. She has also served on the Paralegal Advisory Committee for the University of Montana College of Technology.

One of her proudest accomplishments was getting a bill passed in Montana, from introduction until signed by the governor, which allows for paralegal fees to be recoverable when a party is awarded attorneys fees.

Tina is very passionate about her work and takes great pride in helping clients negotiate through the, sometimes, complex legal system. She very much enjoys working in a multi-jurisdiction law firm.

Personal:
Married since 1988 with two beautiful daughters (ages 18 and 11). There is no joy greater for Tina, than spending time with family and friends at Flathead Lake, especially when she gets to drive to the lake in her 1957 Porsche Speedster.
